Series A Academy brings together investors and industry leaders for a series of online events to answer your questions live. For founders — this is your chance to get all fundraising-related questions answered.
Our deep experience helping founders raise successful funding rounds has taught us that there’s no one-size-fits-all formula for raising a successful Series A. So why did we start our Series A Academy?
In short, because the best way to learn is to spend time with other founders who’ve raised rounds or are in the process of raising as well as investors. This is how founders can really understand how to tackle the challenges that arise and to better appreciate the investors’ perspectives. That’s why we originally created our Series A Academy as an internal event for founders within the LAUNCHub Ventures portfolio. Since it began, we’ve seen:
- 11 events hosted
- 5 out of 8 participating companies successfully raise a Series A
- 3 out of 6 participating investors lead Series A rounds
- 62% of participating companies raised Series A in 12 months — over €30M in total.
Looking at this success, we couldn’t help reflecting on how much this knowledge was needed to unlock the enormous potential of CEE founders. Now, those founders are held back by a lack of knowledge and experience with how bigger (particularly US based) funds operate. They’re hampered by a lack of opportunities to meet other founders to ask for advice and intros. And there simply aren’t many VCs writing Series A checks in CEE.
Series A Academy aims to tackle all of these problems and equip founders to succeed locally and abroad. The CEE startup ecosystem needs programs like this to thrive, so we’re doing our part. Join us and meet other founders and investors so you’ll be ready to raise your next round.

LAUNCHub Ventures is actively investing in CEE startups
We recently completed the first closing of our new fund whose total target size is €70M. Over the next four years, LAUNCHub Ventures will fund 25 startups from Central and Eastern Europe with initial investments between €500K and €2M and an option for follow-up funding. We’re looking for startups with initial traction and customers. Ideally, they would be raising Seed rounds of €1.5M+ and seeking a lead investor, who can then support them during their Series A rounds.
